A Scroll Through the Casino Experience

Back in 2013, I designed an interactive parallax scrolling website for Casinos Austria, one of Europe’s leading gaming and entertainment companies. The goal was to bring the excitement and elegance of the casino experience into a digital space, combining visual storytelling with interactive design. The development of the website was done at that time together with Pixelpoint Multimedia.

The website guided visitors through a series of animated sequences that came to life as they scrolled. Using coded animation mechanics, the cards would shuffle, spin, and reveal themselves dynamically, showcasing how classic casino games like Blackjack, Roulette, and Poker worked. Each scroll interaction triggered a smooth parallax transition, creating a sense of depth and motion that felt almost cinematic at the time.

The project was part of Casinos Austria’s effort to merge their brand heritage of sophistication and trust with a modern, digital-first presentation. With a history dating back to 1968 and a strong international presence, Casinos Austria has always been synonymous with premium gaming experiences and this interactive site was designed to reflect exactly that and more.

The result was a playful yet refined digital experience that captured the thrill of the casino floor while educating users through engaging motion and interactivity. It marked an early milestone in interactive web design, blending storytelling, animation, and user experience into a single scrolling journey.
